Spring has Sprung!

Well, to all of you who are keeping track, today marks the first day of spring. And what a beautiful spring day it was! The birds are chirping, the flowers are in bloom, pollen is everywhere and the sneezing has begun. As the old saying goes, "Spring Is In The Air". For those of us who have lived here in the bay area for a long time, we are fortunate to have a calender to remind us what time of the year it is ('cause it could be 85 degrees in the middle of December!) As Mark Twain once said, "The coldest winter I ever spent was the summer in San Francisco". Now isn't that the truth! Nevertheless...spring is here and so are our hopes that those succulent, sun-ripened strawberries are just around the corner. We've been keeping our eyes peeled and our noses a sniffin' for them at Monterey Market. Let me tell you, we cant wait...enough citrus and tropical fruits already... :P Rest assured, we'll be sure to let you all know when the berries hit. In the mean time, we'll keep providing you all with the best goodies possible.

Oh, and please note that in observence of Good Friday, March 21st we will be closing at 6 p.m. and will be closed Easter Sunday, March 23rd.

Thank you and Happy Easter to all!

We all thank you for being our happy place, not only for the yum yum and the gimme sum, but for the bright clean feng shui of the joint and the personalities behind the counter. Emma impatiently waits for the strawberry, Eric desires banana fudge, Kim pines for lavender and yours truly requests a fennel flavor. Enough for now, keep a goin' y'all!

Hey kids,

We, too, can't wait for the strawberries...but I guess Kim got her wish first.

I'll be checking out your shop soon after what I read about you in the 11) section of the Berkeley NYTimes article: http://travel.nytimes.com/2008/03/30/travel/30hours.html?ref=travel

(You should add that article to the press section of your website!)
